We need a young, proven, offensive minded coach. He’s only 42, and has a 34-15 record at SMU. And by the way, he took freaking SMU to the playoffs last year! He has recruiting inroads in Texas, and he would kill it here with all of our resources.

It’s really about winning and what Lashley’s aspirations are. SMU has a much lower ceiling.

That’s the point. If he can take SMU to the playoffs, he can certainly take LSU to the next level.

Their stadium is small because SMU is a tiny private school. One of the smallest enrollments in Power 4.
