He looked fine for being thrown into the middle of the game down 14 against a good defense. His interception was really a fumble by Olave.

There’s no reason not to give him the rest of the season and see if he can improve. Worst case is we continue to lose like we were doing with rattler

He throws a nice ball, had a few nice passes but missed a TD to Shaheed and Tampa was playing softer D by the time he came in.

Looked average, would like to see how he does with a week of practice as a starter. The 1 INT was a ball yanked out of Olave’s hands

Made some throws, missed on some. We had completely abandoned the run by the time he came in so there wasn’t any run support. Overall I’d say I’m optimistic and look forward to seeing how he will play given a week of starter reps in practice, and a game plan specific to his skill set.

Yep he has to hit that pass. If he is still missing that after a few weeks, that will not be good. It will take more than less than a half to get his timing down though

Honestly I’m choosing to be optimistic and think it was a good sign that he read the blitz and saw that pass to shaheed was open. Yeah he needs to hit it to be the long term qb, but seeing it’s open and processing in time to make the throw is something we haven’t seen consistently from rattler

Guy had 9 more attempts and less yards.. in garbage time too

71% vs 48%

4.27 yards per attempt vs 6.48.

Like I said this coach is an idiot anyone convincing themselves he was better is in fairlyland

Olave had it wrapped up. Should have been scored as a fumble.

Similar to Rattler, a bunch of short throws, getting what the defense allowed, but Tampa wasn’t really doing anything exotic defensively at that point. So can’t really judge him today.

Next week is a brutal matchup so whoever is starting will probably stink it up.

Will be able to judge him better Panthers/Falcons games.

It’s a fricking curl route lol. There is no “behind him.” It wasn’t a crossing route or a post.

It was thrown right on target but Olave was turning to try to run upfield before he secured the catch

I agree, it was the right read. We just have to see if his timing improves with reps. His ball placement was already better than Rattler…….with no reps

Biggest issue with him is that he does the same shite as Rattler and doesn't throw with enough anticipation, a lot of his passes are behind guys

Difference being it was shough’s first 15 min of nfl action and has had no reps with the first team all season. Rattler has played 15 games and has taken a seasons worth of first team reps in practice.

It’s a blatantly biased take to say Shough looked better than Rattler today or that he’s looked better in any of his outings. But he also hasn’t looked out of his depth, and hasn’t looked significantly worse than rattler.

Given the draft capital spent on him and that it seems like rattler is what he is at this point, at least what the saints, there’s no real reason not to give Shough a real run. Probably the rest of the season
