We are delusional.

LSU no longer has a recruiting advantage. It's all mercenaries you have to re-sign annually. LSU is broke

NIL deals are terrible here. LSU is so stupid they thought NIL success was Angel Reese and Olivia Dunne. Real NIL succeass is having the state directly fund you so you have a big budget to pay players every year, no worries. Woodward was too stupid to do this.

Resources? really? LSU has no resources

Only chance we have is to get super lucky hiring someone. It's much more likely that we are entering a cycle of 'hire>fire' that will pull us back down to the dark ages.

Wait so now you’re mad at the AD bc the state is not sending taxpayer dollars to the football team? Is that what you want to happen?

You better not call yourself a fricking conservative.

We spent more on our roster than most did. So this is a bad take. We don’t have coaching that develops what we have

We just need a competent coach that wakes up hungry. Kelly is not that.

BK neglected the trenches his entire time here.

It shows.

Not sure a more incorrect post could have been made regarding the topics mentioned.

if we don’t have the recruiting advantage then we need a coaching advantage.

we can’t have a CEO coach we need a guy who can run an offense year in year out

We can’t win with a Les Miles or even an Ed Orgeron short of a flash in the pan year

Is there some truth to an advantage being lost? Yes.

But holy cow some of these “LSU doesn’t have any resources and we can’t recruit anymore “ are insane. And factually incorrect.

BK has not only ruined the soul of LSU football, he’s turned some fans into being thankful LSU can manage to win a few games.

Louisiana sits atop 2 of the largest natural gas and crude reserves on the planet. The " resources " are relative as to how they are employed.

No. We had one of the highest budgets, only this one season, because of Boosters.

It isnt systemic NIL. It's a flash in the pan.

You think Boosters are gonna give Kelly 20 Mill next year?

Without NIL being built into the states budget, we will get smoked by the real money schools...

Vanderbilt has $$$$$$$$$, they can sustain this. LSU is BROKE

Are you oblivious to the new rules from the House settlement?

Direct payments from schools to players are capped at a little over $20M and the schools are free to decide for themselves how to split that among various sports and players. NIL deals now have to go through an NCAA clearinghouse to pass a sniff test to make sure it has some legitimate business purpose and appears to be a reasonable fair market value…and not just straight up pay-for-play pretending to be NIL

I'm pretty sure you have no clue what you're talking about. Name 3 successful athletic programs being directly funded by their states.

Soooo why was LSU 3rd in the country in terms of NIL spending, if they’re broke and have no resources?

NIL spending per team (2025)

The thing standing last in the line of morality in the universe of college sports is to be underwritten by taxpayers. Phucquing Marxist puke. Dry up and blow away fool.

You're naive. You think schools will start following rules?

Under the table bagmen will be back in full force or the rules will just be openly ignored. There will always be some creative work around.

The game has changed forever. This is a poor state. Like really poor. And elite talent is much more widely spread around now.

This team lacks talent. End of story. Anyone watching the game last night could see it plainly.

The speed difference was shocking. It looked like LSU was playing with 7 defenders.
