I-12 wreck westbound just past the Denham Springs exit 10.

A crash on Saturday morning has shut down Interstate 12 while officials investigate.
It was around 7:30 a.m. when the crash happened on I-12 westbound near the Amite River Bridge and the O’Neal Lane exit.
Denham Springs PD says one person was ejected out of their vehicle and died on the scene. Another person was transported to a hospital with minor injuries.
A blowout is what officers say led up to the single-vehicle crash.
It’s unclear how long the interstate will remain closed but drivers are urged to take alternate routes. Florida Blvd. is extremely heavy with traffic as of 8:45 a.m.
No further details have been released at this time.

Friend is stuck in it. Word going around the victim was a teenager. I imagine the circumstances and weather are complicating the investigation

May be around 4-H Club overpass. I was on River Road in DS this AM, and DSPD were flagging traffic at the 4-H Club and Florida intersection, not letting anyone go towards I-12. And, yeah, traffic was backed up already at 8:15.

Tires probably shot that’s why the blowout or thinking a donut tire is like a regular tire. People that don’t wear seat belts act and think like this.
