Thoughts on Atlanta possibly trading him? Not sure the divisional rival would be a great idea. Especially since our TE situation has been horrible since Graham.

Are you thinking we would trade for him for a half-season?

No, I'm talking about after this season is over.

He’s never lived up to half his hype. He’s had an especially disappointing year considering he’s playing for a contract. Not sure we want another looks like Tarzan plays like Jane tight end.

For a late round pick, why not? We have nothing at the position. As long as a reasonable contract extension is agreed to.

The Falcunts won’t be trading him to us though ??.

Because we will have to pay him in a few months and some team will likely overpay based on him still being young with great measurables thinking they can fix him.

Not sure where the confusion lies.

He will be a FA after 2025 season. Atlanta may possibly trade him. Someone asked me if we would trade for half a season, and I said no, I meant after 2025 season is over.

Read the next sentence in my post. If we can’t get him locked up in a reasonable deal then there’s no point in making the trade.

It won’t be. He’s gonna be a luxury toy for some more complete team to tinker with.

I don't think he's much better than what we have, and we have almost nothing.

I think he either gets paid by a team with a QB on a rookie contract like Carolina or Tennessee, or he will sign a one year contract with a good QB like Cincy or the Rams to get a big pay day the next year.

Kyle Pitts is Chase Young in Tight End form. He was anointed before he was even in the NFL. Has underperformed every single year he's been in the NFL. I want zero part of him on the Saints personally. Imagine how good Atlanta would be if they chose Ja'marr to play WR instead of the lazy TE to play WR.

If he is a free agent, how can they trade him?
