I am buying ten shares of VZ verizon.
My hope is that I can do eight percent gain in a year.

I did well when it was $35 and sold most of my shares when it was $44.
I would wait until earnings before trying it again. They just canned their CEO and replaced him with the guy that tanked PayPal. Did copilot tell you it’s anticipated the new CEO will be used as a scape goat for a corporate reset and dividend cut?

I been have VZ on my watch list since 10/1/24
Then
End of March 25 and start of April 25 the VZ went above 45 a share
but now it's below 40. so being below 40 I thought that it's time to get ten shares

I think I get how they calculate up 1% today.
I think they take yesterdays close to calculate gain today.
I can't buy the stock VZ today at yesterdays closing price. lol

What happens when Starlink goes direct to your phone?
I mean its your money so i don't really care but Verizon is a dead company. Invest in innovation. AMD or Amazon will do well over what you want the next 3 years.

I feel so many stocks are overpriced. It hurts me buying at the top or all time highs. lol
But anyway my order went through so I got ten shares at $38.80 each.

I have a decent amount of shares because of the dividends. Added bonus is when tech stocks go down this goes up and vice versa. Mind you I got in low so that helps. But right now is a good time to buy IMO. Funny someone would mention starling today of all days. They don't follow the news that much

I guess it's more about the strategy than the money. I got some good feedback that made me think of some different strategies.
