Surprised LSU let him slip away to the Aggies. Was it a mutual parting of ways or just an old fashioned firing?

He should've been let go rather than Tommy Moffitt.

People wanted Moffitt gone but the end of his tenure had nothing to do with him and everything to do with the disfunction of O. Ask any former stud what they think of Tommy Moffitt… there’s a reason Saban wanted him bad at the end and there’s a reason the aggies are where they are today too. BK is a fool. But Woodward is the true Judas of the Moffitt situation. I know that for a fact.

Head coach thinking he was smarter than getting reconnaissance from the university he’s joining. Typical northern state of mind

No, it also had to do with him. We had more soft tissue injuries than ever before by the end of Moffitt's tenure. We got dominated on both sides of the line of scrimmaige. Our offensive line was filled with guys who were overweight and out of shape.

Yeah man former players like their coaches.

After 4 seasons of high level recruiting, all they have done is have a worse record than LSU.

An athletic director allowing a 20+ year head coach, who he just gave a 10 year contract to, the ability to hire his own staff, is not being "Judas."

Our offensive line does not struggle because they are "weak" or some nonsense like that. They struggle because they just aren't very good.

Our run defense has been elite until we lost our best defensive tackle, our two starting edge guys, and our all american middle line backer. We haven't gotten blown off the ball all year. Teams try to get to our outside and usually fail without holding.

When Tommy was our S&C coach, our players did just fine in all the NFL Combine metrics. That was true even vs Bama's players all those years even though we were getting dominated by them at the LOS. Little to do with TM.

Do you really have "soft tissue injury" stats?

True. I remember the celebrations on here when he was let go. Apparently he was the reason for every single injury that happens when 200-300 lbs collide for an hour wearing cleats that reduce friction in

Assume this was about Kelly being allowed to lick his staff.

It seemed like for every person referencing the greatness of Moffitt there were equal numbers disparaging him in the final days.

Comments ranged from “wait until Moffitt gets a hold of him” to “Moffitt’s gotta go.”

He had more celebrity status here as I can’t even name the current S&C coach.

Moffitt has 3 NC rings. How many does Flint have? Saban tried to get him to join him at Bama, but he stayed loyal to LSU. So Saban hired his protege Scott Cochran from Moffitt's staff. Saban won 5 NC's at Bama while he had Cochran on his staff.

Moffitt himself said in an interview that when they lost to UCLA in the Rose Bowl that he looked at the coaches standing near him and said “We are getting fired.” He was right.

I’m not sure running a 3 cone drill time or bench pressing 225 20 times means you’re an effective S&C coach. Most players train with someone specifically for the combine

What about the numerous players he developed to be NFL ready starting their rookie season. List is too long to name
