Despite the shitty loss and injuries and not having next year's pick in a loaded special draft, Fears continues to get better and reminds me of a shorter stronger young version of SGA or CP3. I cant be the only one who see this right?

He looks great, which means he'll be injured by late November

One thing that stands out to me is his control of both the ball and his body.

When Zion is dribble driving to the rim, i'm always worried hes going to lose grip/bounce off shoe/etc, but see none of that with Fears.

Also the way he seems to always be balanced is incredible. He can stop on a dime and hit that one foot fadeaway. Kids super nice w it.

He's the steal of the draft for sure. I can't wait to see how he develops. Like AD and Joel said, he gets to his spot every time.

It's already clear that he's a future starter. The only question is how high he ultimately goes above that.

It's 1 game, but he's shown promise and I'm excited to watch his growth. Queen didn't look bad either, but man he's flat footed defensively

Finishing through JJJ at the rim as a 1st game rookie is a pretty grown arse man move for an 18 (edit now 19) year old.

It’s not going to get much harder than that. Dude looks effing incredible. Will be interesting to see if teams start sagging off him. He’s gonna have to hit those open 3s cause it’s probably coming.

He looked real good. He was the guy I hoped we drafted after the big three.
He had that it factor with a high ceiling.

Finishing at the rim in traffic is one the hardest thing to do for a PG when transitioning to the league. Only a handful of PG/SGs come into the league and are able to do it out of the gates. Usually those guys have some combination of supreme athleticism, length, and a NBA body already. Fears is going to be scary since he's still going to get a lot bigger and stronger over time.

His defense is going to be good with more reps. His foot speed is good for the position and he puts in the effort to defend. That's probably the most surprising part of his game. He's not going to be a Rob Dillongham who will always be a negative defender. Fears has the tools to be a good defender.

Doesnt give up on dribble early. Has a fearless shooting trigger. He bey and seeing Zion healthy were worth watching.

If he become a 3 pt sharp shooter by year 3 or 4 + his body fills out, I don’t see how he’s not one of top 5 players in the league at that point.

Dumars Dynasty…. trademark it.
