“Drew Brees joins the show to talk about his career, his road to New Orleans, his favorite teammate, why he kneeled, his noodle arm at the end of his career, and his life after football”

Imagine rookie Jaxson Dart having more balls and courage defending a guy hes never met than 39 year old Drew Brees had about his two grandpa war heroes that he gushed over nonstop for 20 years.

He kneeled because he wanted to protect his broadcasting career. It looks even worse now than it did then.

Im sure he has his reasons but damn, he already had hundreds of millions of dollars. Why pander to those soulless assholes for a "broadcasting" gig?

He didn’t kneel for anthem though. Also that was in 2017. Nobody got mad at Drew until 2020 when he backtracked bc he was scared for his family with a mob of ppl chanting “F**k Drew Brees”…

He used to kneel before anthem (in 2017) with all players for about 2 seconds then he would stand for anthem…

It’s an Google away. Anyone who thinks he actually knelt for annthem is a dumbarse that probably didn’t follow Saints very much…

No one cares if he took a knee or not. He knelt to the woke mob when he apologized for no reason. He went back on what he believed in just to appease other people. It’s sad that the grown men on this board idolize a football player so much that they refuse to accept what actually happened

Literally the OP cares that’s why he mentioned it, and others do because otherwise they wouldn’t say “Drew Knees”…

Or was scared for his family…would you do anything to protect your family?

You mean the greatest player in Saints history who donated so much time and money to Louisiana…

Including donating 10 million dollars (which was half his salary at the time) to Louisiana the last year he played to help with Covid relief and build Hospitals in underprivileged areas?

Would you ever donate half your salary to help ppl in hard times? I can admit I wouldn’t…. I can also admit I would bow to a mob to protect my family…

Not going to let one moment ruin a legacy of everything he did for me at least.

No one’s perfect…

Brees again took to social media on Saturday to respond to Mr. Trump's criticism, saying he has ongoing conversations with friends, teammates, and leaders in the black community. Now, he said, "I realize this is not an issue about the American flag."

"It has never been. We can no longer use the flag to turn people away or distract them from the real issues that face our black communities," he said. "We must stop talking about the flag and shift our attention to the real issues of systemic racial injustice, economic oppression, police brutality, and judicial & prison reform."

So cringe. And this was all BEFORE he proudly wore Jacob Blake's name on his helmet for a full week and then that "Say Her Name" tshirt. Funny how Tom Brady never sold out like that, yet he still has a media career

And he even did a video with his wife saying “we are the problem”
And of course donated a mill or 2 to make it go away

Usual suspects in this thread being retarded as usual acting like Brees actually had a choice w the Kneeling and Jacob Blake shite in racial warzone of 2020.

We mad at Demario Davis too guys? He was the inspiration for a lot of Brees behavior for this period of time, including the tweet to Trump? We cool w Demario bc he's black and plays linebacker instead of franchise QB?

of course he had a choice. but instead of saying the truth he fed into the lies and turned his back on his people.

Brady said on Oprah he had empathy for the players who were kneeling
