Today, the Department of War is announcing the next generation of the Pentagon press corps.
We are excited to announce over 60 journalists, representing a broad spectrum of new media outlets and independent journalists, have signed the Pentagon’s media access policy and will be joining the new Pentagon press corps. Twenty-six journalists across 18 outlets were among the former Pentagon press corps who chose to sign the DOW media access policy.
New media outlets and independent journalists have created the formula to circumvent the lies of the mainstream media and get real news directly to the American people. Their reach and impact collectively are far more effective and balanced than the self-righteous media who chose to self-deport from the Pentagon. Americans have largely abandoned digesting their news through the lens of activists who masquerade as journalists in the mainstream media. We look forward to beginning a fresh relationship with members of the new Pentagon press corps.
Something tells me the MSM won’t be happy about it

Good.
Now can we audit the MiC?

Good news.
War is the biggest driver of news. The MSM will be hurt by the loss of access.

They thought a united front would work. They haven’t quite figured out it seems they aren’t the only game in town anymore.

That's good news!
It was funny watching the old reporters thinking their "stand" was going to accomplish something.

Today our glorious president inspired the troops by running a 4 minute mile and bench pressing his own body weight of 190 pounds.

As they come slinking back, relegate them to the back of the room and never call on them again. Make the new reporters the heroes

I'm interested to learn who the 26 reporters of 18 outlets that returned are... mainstream news had me thinking they ALL "quit".

Funny, because this is exactly what the MSM did with Biden.

That’s (D)ifferent
It’s amazing those tards don’t recognize their own projection

You guys and gals can say Great! screw the MSM all you want...this is not good news . Any form of corruption that is or was taking place at the pentagon will be much harder to investigate. You all say you want to drain the swamp.....but really you just want it filled with your "side's" swamp creatures.

Cry me a river. Your swamp creatures have had a hold on the media my entire life.

You don't even realize how hard you nailed the legacy media and their "reporting."
Or do you still believe Biden was sharp as a tack and the smartest man in every room?

Because new media & independent journalists aren’t ‘real’ journalists
We must be spoon fed by the MSM

You are literally crying a few outlets no longer have a monopoly.
The same people that lied about Biden for 4 years. The same people that told you about WMD.
So yes, they are your swamp creatures you are defending.
And like the posted above says, the paid actors on tv you love so much aren’t journalists.
People that do real journalism get fired from those companies.

Here's a balancing post to this emotional vomit. Let's pick these requirements apart.
Key Requirements for Journalists
Credentialing and Acknowledgment: Journalists must read and sign an in-brief form affirming understanding of DoW policies on information security, physical controls, safety, and security compliance. The signature indicates acknowledgment, not agreement, with the policies. New PFACs, including an "Additional Press Identifier Badge," will be issued starting September 30, 2025, for resident media, and October 1, 2025, for non-resident media.
Publication Rules: DoW information, even if unclassified, must be approved for public release by an appropriate authorizing official before disclosure. Journalists are not required to submit writings for pre-approval but acknowledge that publishing unauthorized information may lead to credential revocation if deemed a security risk.
Solicitation Prohibition: Journalists must not solicit DoW personnel (service members or civilians) to disclose unauthorized information, including classified material or sensitive unclassified data. This includes calls for tips that could encourage violations of disclosure laws.
Constitutional Protections: The policy explicitly states it does not require waiving constitutional rights, prohibit investigating/reporting/publishing, or mandate submission of materials for review. It describes DoW policies without imposing new reporting restrictions beyond acknowledgment.
Physical Access Measures
Movement Restrictions: Previously unrestricted access to much of the Pentagon is now limited. Journalists require escorts in sensitive areas, aligning with protocols at other U.S. military bases.
Badge Visibility: Credentials must be worn above the waist at all times (except during designated press events) for identification.
Compliance Consequences: Violations, such as unauthorized access or solicitation, may result in being classified as a security risk, leading to badge revocation and facility expulsion.

Its not the journalist who I'm speaking of when I say swamp creatures. Its those that support that any journalist must not report on anything that happens in the pentagon without Hegseth's permission.
I'll give you an example: back in the 80's the Pentagon was being tripled billed by the manufacturer of the Bradley. It was an Air Force whistleblower that helped break that story with none other than Bill Oreilly. It revealed all kinds of problems with the procurement process and vulnerabilities with corruption. The pentagon hated that story getting out .You think that kind of story could come out now?
