Definitely don't hate it. Enjoyed hating them under his leadership. What a turnaround he coordinated.

I don’t see him being successful in the bigs. He’ll be back to college at some point. He was built for it.

I bet he'd be successful either way, but his heart might bring him back to college..

Need project here to discuss how it impacts recruiting.

Anyone who leaves still won’t be eligible until next year. I saw KR tweet that a few days ago.

Arkansas will be looking to replace DVH. It would be a good timeline to just hop back into college baseball

Good point. Similar to Saban leaving LSU. Guess we’ll see.

They're going to promote Elander, who has been running a lot of the day to day stuff and is technically their Recruiting Coordinator. Kivett will probably be the recruiting coordinator.

They're losing a big recruiter and big evaluator though. They have a loaded 2026 and 2027 class. LSU, Tennessee, and Texas have been dominating 2027. I don't know how much this will spread out the talent, but there are guys we should be going after. We went head to head with them on a lot of 2026s.

If they slip a little this season, it will cause questions about retaining Elander and it will also probably mess up the money train a little bit. Vitello was the guy with the money relationships. He wasn't hanging out with Peyton Manning at a high school football game because they're just friends. Manning was his fund raiser. Is that going to carry forward? I don't know.
EWe didn't go head to head as much on the 2027 class.

Which would be BS if true. They signed/transferred to Tenn to play under Vitello. If he makes a move this late in the game, they should have a window to decide if they want to stick around for whoever steps up internally (too late to do a true coaching search)

Definitely not his plan but it’s conceivable it plays out like that.

So I guess the San Fransisco Giants are now about to start acting like the biggest jackasses in MLB.
