Menendez Brothers Resentenced

Seems a judge resentenced the brother to 50 years to life and removed the restriction of "without parole" and they are now immediately eligible for parole.
Not that it will happen automatically and is still at the discretion of a parole board hearing, but it is now officially in the cards for these two callous murderers to walk out of prison.

Netflix does a really good job of creating sympathy for murderers through the omission of facts. Same as they did with Making a Murderer
Also, hiring really good-looking actors to play the brothers, then sending the actors on an old school "teen idol" tour made white liberal women very sympathetic and ignored any facts or reason. Those same women started the "campaign" to get them released.
It is interesting that new allegations about the dad being a pedo came out from another source, though.

I despise the Netflix driven retrial of recent years. Netflix should not be a part of the justice system.
These morons vaporized the heads of their parents. I don't really care if they were diddled or not, they belong in jail.

If the dad was raping the younger brother, as they allege, they had zero reason to also kill the mom.

I don’t agree with this. If they were molested then screw the dad atleast and if the mom knew then screw her too.

completely different set of circumstances, can't over simplify it in one phrase or sentence, plus, I haven't read Jody's book but iirc, Gary was prepared to go down for his actions, those boys did just the opposite

Because the latter is merely a rumor. It can’t be validated because the dad is dead. If he was convicted, different story, which is the case with Gary Plauche.

They claim the mom knew. They lied a lot.
I used to be on the fence about the dad until the former Menudo member stepped forward recently and said he was raped by him too. I think if they can prove the dad was raping Eric, then some sympathy can be given towards Eric. The whole Lyle was Eric's protector is a bullshite angle IMO. If he were the protector, he would have gone to the cops or something.
No matter what, I see zero reason for them to kill the mom so brutally, too.

People don't get prosecuted on "if" nor should they be forgiven on "if"
We have zero way of knowing what she knew because they took away her voice then slandered her to try to get out of murdering her

yep, we dissected this pretty well in the thread awhile back but those two were nothing but greedy, spoiled brat, scheming little punks who should never be released
