If you fire BK, you must take at least one shot at the GOAT

Downvote me to hell.

But if you tell me Nick Saban wouldnt sit up at night thinking about a chance to bring the program that he himself said he regretted leaving..back to prominence?

Full circle. Still sharp as a tack, has been able to observe CFB from all angles as a talking head.

With every passing Natty you know its blowing wind on those embers.

Maybe im smoking crack, but the chance isnt zero and you all know it.

You know what regret does to men.

He’s 73 and hates the NIL and transfer portal shenanigans. The chance isn’t 0 but just doesn’t seem possible

I remember his rants about the HUNH as well. He hated it with a passion.

The reason he retired is because he realized his recruiting advantage is over and there is going to be parity. The same reason he quit NFL.

Horrible idea, let him ride off into the sunset. His style of coaching doesn't translate like it used to.

On the contrary, his no bullshite style of coaching is exactly what is needed in THIS program right now.

BK has them so soft.

How did you surmise this? He went 12-2 and 8-0 in the SEC just 2 seasons ago in 2023.

Sounds good on paper, but the reality is the kids are paid now. They don't need you, they don't need LSU. The league is so even all around they will find another check somewhere else, before they get scolded and have to face hardship like men.

Nick left coaching for a reason. There is no more leverage on these kids. He is also a million years old. He can run for president, but shouldn't coach in the SEC.

Let the man retire with dignity. No need to come back and pull a Bill Belechik side show

Nick Saban himself said that NIL has changed the culture of college football. He got out on his terms because he saw the writing on the wall. The mindset of the college athlete completely changed.

I can understand that, but do you think Saban would not be successful if he decided to return and deal with the different landscape?

I wouldn't bet against the guy being able to adapt and succeed if so decided. Dude is a very driven MFr.
