I, as many of you are, disappointed in the rate of success within BK’s tenure. However, I think it’s absolutely untenable to give him $53 million not to coach and still have to assemble a new staff, assistants, and a roster.

However, I think admin will require an offensive staff turnover. (I believe Sloan, Hankton, Davis, and potentially Atkins will all be fired.) —> I would fire Frank Wilson as well. RB rotation has been absolutely atrocious.

Which OCs would you like to see in BR?

My list:
- Andy Kotelnicki (Penn state/prev. Kansas OC)
- Buster Faulkner (Georgia Tech OC)
- Charlie Weis Jr. (Ole Miss OC —> does in fact calls plays; lane interjects)
- Collin Klein (TAMU OC)

Who BK likely hires:
- Tommy Rees (Browns OC)

That's a $6K savings on season tickets.

I think you are correct. If that is so then we need to revamp the offense. I hope this Houston kid is the real deal at QB. We need a great dual threat QB.

Keep Sloan as QB coach but install a better Offensive Coordinator!

No way, unless he really turns things around.

See, these types of takes make little sense to me. Fire everyone on offensive staff. Hire a whole new staff. LSU is mid again next year. Kelly and staff get bought out and fired. Are you really saving much money after all of that? I can’t imagine you are. Just cut ties now and don’t delay. Take into account the loss of NIL, ticket revenue, etc. by delaying this firing. If he doesn’t make playoffs this year, which he won’t, then he’s gone.

To further this, I’ve never seen a coach in this position turn his tenure around after turning over his staff. This is multiple times at this point (defense, now offense). I’d love a great example if you could provide.

That is correct, QB is the issue, BK should be blamed for not getting a good one.

As T-Bob said, it's more so the sign of a broken society where you are paying someone $53M to not coach. That being said, I don't think it's untenable if you care about winning football.

To me, you don't pull that trigger at this juncture with BK unless you know with certainty you are getting Kiffin or someone like Dan Lanning.

I think Charlie Weis Jr. would be an excellent pick if we can poach him from Oxford or Klein at A&M. Really anyone with a pulse outside of that idiot in the booth.

I haven't even thought about Frank Wilson until you mentioned it. The RB room has been very disappointing since his tenure here. Probably a combo of O-line and not hitting the right holes in the gap.

Need to include Will Stein as a candidate. I know he’s already an OC at Oregon, who is a top flight program in 2025, but I think LSU could make him the highest paid OC. Will Stein is the unicorn.

Also need to fire Brad Davis no questions asked, and Cortez Hankton no questions asked. Sam Pittman is your guy for OL coach. WR coach I would need to do some more digging. Frank Wilson is not getting it done in terms of RB production, but he is very valuable to the staff still.

His body language is of a man who has given up. Maybe he gets a second wind but he sure looks like a man ready to take a reasonable settlement.

The RB depth and production has gotten worse every year under Wilson.

Has anyone in the history of college or pro sports ever taken an involuntary demotion and remained with the team?

I'm not talking about a guy that has personal issues and has to step back but a guy who is told you aren't good enough at A so we want you to go back to doing B.

Pay Sloan buyout
Hire new Offense staff for 3 year contract.
Hear BK excuse machine brrrrt
Fire bk and then have to pay three years of buyouts for offensive staff.

I wish I sucked at college football too.

Why should Kelly be trusted to make these hires after Sloan and House?

We absolutely need a new a oc but my worry is who will want the job knowing if it goes bad and Kelly gets fired then they are out of a job. Stein is the one I want. I would even consider him for the head job. Oregon, Georgia and Ohio state have done pretty good hiring coordinators. Plus, it wouldn't take a 10 year deal to get him.

If you really think BK is the problem, are you going to bail him out by paying for staff buyouts and ponying up even more cash to hire top offensive coaches?

Wouldn't it make more sense to save your pennies and let BK stew in his juice for another year, then fix the whole thing?

IDK if its about trust. He's the HC, he gets to make the hires. Its how it works.
