It’s August 1, 2025.
Preseason Top 10
5th yr Senior at QB who threw for 4000 yds last year.
Great pick ups in portal
Very inexperienced oline

What would you differently to be 7-0 instead of 5-2?

Stop being so fricking predictable on Offensive play calling.

Maybe try MVB when Nuss was obviously struggling.

None of us get paid $100m to figure this out.

I’d install that 3rd and 15 draw play we ran against vandy, from the beginning. Might have beat ole miss with that.

You cannot stop that.

Also, tackling high has been a huge success for us.

I would have fired Sloan on the Dec signing day as soon as Underwood took that Oracle money. Hopefully by August 1st, I would have had a competent OC that would run a fricking delayed handoff on 2nd & goal from the 5 with an O-line that can't block Catholic High's JV team.

Kind of late by Aug 1. Coaching changes should have been made last year and the OL addressed in the portal. If BK couldn’t see the OL talent issues then he’s an idiot.

Maybe something crazy like rollout the QB or slide the pocket to avoid pressure and mask Oline deficiencies.

Be humble enough to realize you actually have to step in and coach. The issues on the oline require the attention of the entire staff working together to figure out a path to efficiency at that position group. Use formation, use motion, chips, pulls and counters to assist in the blocking schemes. Both run and pass.

Sloan and Hankton needed to be demoted and brought in an actual proven OC.

3 simple moves would have us at 7-0.

Sit Weston Davis and put Curne in.

Sit Nic Anderson and put play Kyle Parker more. He's a better receiver/catcher, blocker and route runner.

Sit Sharp and replace with D. Green. Better blocker in the run game as your traditional TE.

All 3 of the moves would help the run game. Pass game would be better too. I'd also give Berry opportunities on RB or RB split screens. Give him the ball in space where he excels.

Temper my expectations because this was all predictable if you could critically think and didnt wear purple and gold glasses.

An Oline filled with non SEC starters.

An immobile QB who needs a clean pocket to succeed.

We haven't been able to run the ball in 4 years, we relied on Jayden to make plays, and Nuss isnt that guy.

Our defense wasnt as good as this board made it out to be. Baker only understands blitzing the QB.

Signs were there, we just refused to pay attention
