Malzahn?
Mullen?
Kiffin?
Riley?

Not a lot of big names out there who would leave their successful jobs for LSU. Lanning? Day? Smart?

Not going to happen

There is no “can’t miss” hire. Everyone is a crapshoot.

This is the correct answer.

His offense, LSU athletes, LSU collective and resources….

I think this day and age I would try and get a young offensive guru. Hope you can find a good DC to compliment.

You have to rethink how you hire. Go for an up and comer that you fully vet in the interview process that seems hungry and competent and give him a 4-5 year deal. It’s a risk but the 10 year $100 MM contracts for “proven” coaches are much riskier.

You’d have to offer Lanning first imo. Kiffin and Elko should be on the list.

These massive buyouts and 90% guarantees will go away in the NIL era

You can’t have these massive buyouts/guarantees and competitive nil collective.

A LOT of people on this board shite on Lane before BK was hired…. A frick ton on this site were completely against it and was jacking off to the thought of Lincoln Riley at LSU. I would have been on the Lane Train in a frickin heartbeat. On that note….Chicken can you please fire up the coaches changes board.
