They arent firing Kelly this week. Can those two losses be enough to get it done?

Will losing those games reduce the buyout?

It should be enough but for the money Kelly is owed. Can't realistically see him gone until next year if this continues.

Admin might not have the spine to do it but I don’t see BK avoiding five losses. And if he somehow beats A&M or Bama but loses to Arkansas, that is even worse. Fans have turned though. He has to win what? Nine straight games ? Winning a natty is the only thing saving his arse and it ain’t happening.

Kelly will return next season no matter what happens this year but with no Sloan and no Brad Davis

I believe they've already accepted those 2 loses. I think the last game of the year against Oklahoma could determine BK's and staff fate. That could be a 5 loss year will high expectations and an expensive roster. That just means coaches failed to get anything out of this roster.

$51m buyout
Then buyout of staff

Then the real tricky part, new contract of new coach and staff

Oh, while also having a competitive NIL collective.

Kelly isn’t going anywhere for at least 2 years.

Now, if they did fire him and pay that $51m buyout. I can see LSU being the new market maker on Coaching contracts in NIL era. Coach will get market pay or above market, but the 90% guarantee is gone. Why? LSU isn’t going to give a massive buyout and have massive nil collective.

Cignetti and a few others have proven it doesn't take five years to turn a program around (IU's QB is not Johnny Manzeil.) I'd like the entire top 50 of DI commit to only guaranteeing the first three years of a contract, of any length. An extra two million a year is pocket lint, versus being on the hook for 34mil for buying out the last three years of a contract.

Maybe if they get crushed which seems highly possible/probable even.
