Keep in mind a large percentage of these people don’t have any sort of significant or meaningful life.
They are lonely and want to belong. Some want to get laid.
Some are stupid enough to think they are making a difference. But more importantly it’s a gathering and for many it feels like a party and a chance to get to meet new people.
It’s a different version of tailgating for the mentally deranged.

I have a friend who is at one of these things. She can never defend her stance on anything political. When she does gets cornered on anything she just says that the person questioning her is to dumb to understand the reasoning. She was good looking years ago (I don’t have pics) and obviously was just ‘agreed with’ when topics were brought up. She has a couple of dudes who still try to agree with her views because they are viewing her as the 20 year old version and not the current version.
She posted on facebook that she was going to one of the protests and someone said that if Trump was really a ‘king’ then these protests wouldn’t happen.
She claimed that the person stating that is too ignorant to understand what ‘no kings’ means. When asked to explain she says that the person is too dumb to understand.
