Let an arrow fly about 15-20 minutes ago. Going to sit a while though. Have had some bucks in the area.

Hunted this area yesterday. Saw doe and a yearling.

Have had several does work through along with a couple of small rack bucks. Something got after them about a hundred yards up the ridge and the took off fast. I’ll sit another hour then climb down and walk back to the house.

Hope you get him.

Duck season opener today, turnaround meeting got me this morning. Going to fatigue tomorrow and hopefully bang a few.

Been seeing a bunch of mulies and whitetail while scouting for ducks, about to order a crossbow and see if I can put some meat in the freezer.

Hunted on top of a ridge overlooking the south side. Stood up to pee and stretch and looked to the left and he was walking at the base of the ridge. Could tell he was legal without the scope and had enough time to grab the 350 legend and shoot. Shot him in the neck and he dropped.

He had quite a bit of ground shrinkage. Oh well, fresh meat for camp.

Mississippi
Stuck a doe at about 830
Shot entrance looked good and she disappeared behind a tree and didnt reappear. 30 minutes later I saw her walking off with guts hanging. Didnt realize how hard she was quartered to me.

Gonna put the dog on her in a little bit. I dont want to bowhunt anymore.

Back at this afternoon after a clean miss this morning. Shot right under a doe. A little further than I thought. I even told myself to aim high and didn’t.

Hunting a travel corridor. First year I really hunt October. Crazy how green and thick everything is.
