Since we are the underdog, would a hard fought loss be okay?

For me, any loss to Vandy is not acceptable. I think most would agree that LSU has a tremendous advantage based on talent alone. On top of that, Kelly is in his fourth year at the helm and has stated himself that this is the most talented roster he's ever had.

Kelly has access to more NIL money that most programs can only dream about, some of the best facilities in the country, the best fanbase in the country and has a staff that LSU is paying more than 15M a year!

At this point, there are no moral victories!

Well there is a problem, none of the above is true.

No type of loss is okay. If we lose the season is over

We aren’t running the table with the remainder of the schedule

If this is your logic, LSU would likely end up 7-5 and it would be “okay”

No. LSU should lose to Vanderbilt under no circumstances. That hasn't happened since the days of Mike Archer when Todd Kinchen was called for offensive pass interference on what should've been LSU's game winning touchdown.

It’s a type of game that no one cares if you win, but care if you lose. Despite us being an underdog, it’s not ideal for us to lose this one for our playoff hopes.

Absolutely not. Losing to vandy in year 4 of BK would be an epic failure

Anything short of a playoff appearance is unacceptable imo

This is a must-win game for LSU. Very well could be a program-defining game.

There will be a meltdown if we lose this game, and the meltdown will be warranted.

You Cannot lose this game under these circumstances.

Did you even read his post or just the thread title? He clearly said he doesn't think it's acceptable

Vandy.

No loss would be acceptable, but any win will be.

If Kelly loses this game, he's a lame duck coach until 2027. This is as good of a roster and defense as he's likely to ever have at LSU and nearly every single player has been turned over from 2021. Finishing 9-3 or worse this year would be an abject failure.
