Because they have been misfits their entire life. They are ugly so nobody wanted them, they were popular and grew up watching QB’s and cheerleaders, they’re awkward people because they only ever socialized with others like themselves and that is not true socialization. Getting together at Eugene’s for an all weekend D&D party is not socializing.
They are outcasts. Bullies use to keep people like this in line but we interrupted the natural order of life when we ended bullying.
