Been a tiger for 35 years and the fact vandy is -2.5 has me just in shock. Vandy is not the 90s version or early 2000s but still. I never thought I would see this line.

I think lsu will win as vandy really hasn’t played anyone but bama and they lost.

Same thing as Coastal in baseball. Only difference is Coastal actually has history and isn't being hyped up for one big win that happened a year ago

Well for one it’s not 2.5 anymore. It’s 1.5

And two, they may not be favored by kickoff

A lot of people watched the Ole Miss game. I can’t blame them for thinking Vandy will win.

I do think that we are better than Vandy and if we build from USCe then we will win by 10

If you’re shocked you’re not paying attention.

by a score of 30-14

Let's dive into that a bit...

Bama
18th ranked defense nationally - allowed for 14 touchdowns so far
LSU
21st ranked defense nationally - allowed only 8 touchdowns so far

We're ranked slightly lower than Bama in defense but have allowed for significantly fewer touchdowns. I take that to mean we bend but we don't break and our defense steps up when it has to. Vandy has a great offense and they're going to have to find a way to get through our defense to beat us.

We've allowed 8 touchdowns all year so far and have played much better competition than Vandy so far. I think the first half is ugly for LSU but the second half is when we dominate. No way Vandy hangs with us the entire game.

You are comparing this game to two teams that had made it all the way through the CWS to the championship series?

Yes or just dont understand vegas and point spreads in general

I did see this was the first time in 45Y Vandy has been favored over a top 25 team. Over a top 10 team I would believe but top 25 im not so sure

Vegas has actually watched Nuss play football this year without purple and gold blinders on.

I know betting lines very well. I get why vandy is favored but seeing it actually happen is still very shocking giving the long history of these two programs.

3/5 of vandys wins are Charleston Southern, Georgia State, and Utah State... the other 2 are Virginia Tech and SC

Ours arent much better, but we've beaten clemson on the road, a scrappy florida team at home, and south carolina (vandy beat them too) along with LA Tech and Southeastern

Get ready to see a big Vandy win Saturday. This is not the 2019 LSU team haha.

Tech's defense is pretty good, and they would probably beat the pants off Charleston State, Georgia State and Utah State. Would probably give VT and USCe problems, too.

So I don't undervalue that win as much as others do.

Love that^ but then there's this for the offenses:

Alabama
SP+ Overall: 16th
Points Per Game: 36.40 (#19 nationally)
Yards Per Game: 431.5 (#27 nationally)
Yards Per Play: 6.1 (#35 nationally)

LSU
SP+ Overall: 25th
Points Per Game: 19.8 (#104 nationally)
Yards Per Game: 344.2 (#91 nationally)
Yards Per Play: 6.1 (#31 nationally)

I think we can do it but it's put up or shut up time.

ETA- corrected a Bama stat. Not sure I believe them. It was just a google search. Regardless, Bama's offense is operating at a higher level than LSU's.
