6. New Orleans Saints (1-5)
Arvell Reese, LB, Ohio State*

Saints general manager Mickey Loomis likes to address the trenches in Round 1, especially when picking in the top 10. Reese is one of the best prospects regardless of position, and there will be debates on whether he's best suited as an edge rusher or an off-ball linebacker at the next level. The Saints need help in both areas, and Reese is a versatile game wrecker to the point where he -- not Downs -- might be the first Buckeyes player drafted. I love the idea of him in the middle of that New Orleans defense.

Man I want to see the saints get a playmaker with a top ten pick. We desperately need it. I don’t see how a MLB fits that.

This entire draft, top to bottom, needs to be OL DL LB

Seeing Baltimore with the #2 pick just not feel right

Also, how can the Saints draft a MLB at 6 with Fano & Mauigoa sitting right there

Edit: Did not realize Utah was like that. Spencer Fano, OT, Utah projected # 8, Caleb Lomu, OT, Utah projected 18th. Both OTs coming out and going in the top 1/2 of the draft, I'd expect the QB's jersey to be as clean as the punters Unless they have a Ruiz type at the 3 interior positions.

Reese is not a middle. He’s off ball and could play edge in some schemes. Think Micah Parsons.

You don’t pick a linebacker at 6. JC

“Linebacker”

Buddy is 6’4” 245 and can play off the edge. We aren’t talking about Stephone Anthony

If he can play the Parsons role, sign me the frick up. We have Young, Granderson and Jordan who only seem to know how to bullrush with absolutely no bend. I need a speed guy off the edge like a fish needs water.

I just think we need an influx of good to elite players and we’re basically a blank slate outside of the tackles and center. If you could get a Patrick Willis at 6 then of course you take him. Having a game wrecker can make an entire defense better just like an elite qb can raise the play of his targets
