This whole thing seems so egregious that I wonder what's actually going on.
Keep in mind, posted by Politico, so could be entirely fictitious or even faked.
No actual pictures of texts, just "quoted texts".
No conservatives that I know talk like this, especially the younger ones that have grown up in a more "enlightened" world.

It is a legitimate group who was betrayed by Gavin Wax. The problem is that the left accidentally killed cancel culture so nobody actually cares about this. This would have been a massive story six years ago. Instead Gavin Wax decided to nuke his own career

There is a brand of humor that is very difficult to defend in writing.
It’s dark humor. Its the humerous pushback on the rhetoric of the left where they accuse everyone who disagrees as being racists, phobes, etc…
The response is to exaggerate the imaginary viewpoints. It’s THE humor.
But alas, if someone reads group chats, they could take a literal standpoint and railroad those engaging in that humor.
How do you explain dark humor to a brain dead leftist.
They can’t meme either.

Right. We are supposed to be horrified about young kids making edgy jokes on a private group chat while the future attorney general of Virginia talks about killing kids with basic silence from the left.

Daily Mail had something similar to this story this morning.
My guess is the MSM had to come up with something to hit Trump with given his success in the last few days. This seems like a fabricated story to distract or hurt the admins while they are dominating the news cycle in a very positive way.
Think Russian Dossier, Putin's puppet, etc. etc. They have nothing on Trump so they will make something up to try and hurt him. TDS is alive and well on the left.

Gavin Wax is a traitor to young Republicans. He leaked the chat (knowing it could frick over everyone in it) because he was "uncomfortable with" some thing in it. Rather than just leave or ignore he decided to send screenshots to Politico reporter.
