Day games - Do they suck as bad as I think they do?

No lie, I absolutely hate watching LSU play football in sunshine. Grew up watching them play nearly all night games at home before TV started deciding when games would be played.
LSU football during the day is just - wrong.
Personal animosity (and levity) aside, though, I'm always more nervous when the Tigers play before the sun goes down. It feels like they just play better at night, but is that actually true? Has anyone actually looked at this?
Yeah, silly thing to get spun up about, but if you couldn't guess I hate day games....

Yes, they suck and yes it is true. Several stats back up the argument of us playing better at night.

At least it's an away game and not a home game!

As I've gotten older, I do love a 230 kickoff. Get out a few hours before kickoff; game ends and it's dinner time. Elite.
The moment Dan Borne used to announce "it is now Saturday night in Death Valley" gives me the fricking chills just thinking about it.

I prefer night games, but the post-game issue is bad with traffic. At least with earlier games, this allows some to go back to tailgate and spread out congestion on the roads. For roads games, I prefer early games...

because we get to add all of our layup non-conference games to the games at night statistic.

dumb post
we have won plenty during the day at home and on the road for years now.
the issue was at home for years. we finally won our first daytime HOME game against kentucky in 1987. just right off the top of muy head we won during the day the year before at florida in 86 and we won during the day at bama in 1984. won during day at tenbner in 87. we have won plenty in day from 2000 til now.

11am kickoffs are the worst, but I don’t mind them for away games.
Not looking forward to Arky on 11/15

Yea, LSU sucks arse when playing these morning games. I hate these kickoff times but there's nothing we can do about it so fire up those rouxs, grills, smokers, or whatever the hell else you have planned early and enjoy the game. The one good thing about early kickoffs like this is you still have time to do other shite after the game.

We're 96-44-5 (.686) in day games all time at home. And you have to take into account that for about 25 years, most of those day games was the SEC game of the week against a hard opponent

My only issue with day games is when I'm in the stadium and its above 85 degrees

LSU Has Never Played Well During The Day. I Have Been Following LSU Since 1958. Night Games Are There Best Games.

6-1 in 11am games during BK era, but I guess most people think of the 40-13 loss to Tenn or being down 17-0 to SC last year

Maybe that's just me, though.

That's a big difference for some of y'all to comprehend, I get it. But try reading what someone writes before shitposting a reply.

The older I get, the more I like the late afternoon game like 4-6 pm window, that we never seem to be in.

That UCLA game last year sucked pretty bad.
