Well, this is a pretty interesting stat about how much Sellars actually ran in the game

Does this include him walking to the huddle and sideline or something?

It's similar to how Nuss ran 60 yards to gain 20 on that one long run he had.

The stats only measure yards gained or lost. The advanced stuff tracks actual distances moved on the field during the play.

Lanoris Sellars vs LSU finished with 19 yards rushing on 22 attempts.

Obviously, this isn't just on his rush attempts. I'd like to know what the definition of this is.

Right, but only on their runs, correct?

For instance, let's say Sellars ran sideways 20 yards on a pass play and threw an incompletion, would that be in those numbers, because it doesn't count as a run?

I'm too lazy to take the time to look up all the variables that make up the number Cubelic posted.

He was running for his life the entire game. He’s got unbelievable escapability, as he was able to evade multiple guys on several occasions where we had him dead to rights.

Yes, that accounts as yards in THIS number total.

Hey, I'll take some heat here too; I've been spelling it wrong the whole thread.

all I got from this is Sellars ran for 894 yards on us and that's enough to send BK on his way.

Yes, the sack yardage is deducted from the total.

Stats like this, while interesting for sure, drive my pure disdain for the analytics phenomenon. At some point its just too much. It's as if theyre trying to convince us our eyes dont see what we think they do.

Well our LBand DE had 24 missed tackles and most were on Sellers. It’s hard when you’re trying to tackle a 6’4” 240 lb fast QB that is as big as you are. Even bigger.

This stat is sack adjusted, so it basically shows you that Sellars ran for damn near 900 yards and only gained 19 yards total past the line of scrimmage.

Also, on another note, LSU should have won this game 38-10 if we didn't keep shooring ourselves in the foot.
