I think with the age and style that we should bring Freeman from Notre Dame as head coach. I think he would be able to definitely recruit well here.

Why would he leave ND? He has a cake walk to the playoffs every year
Notre Dame is damn near guaranteed a playoff bid

Please, never post again

The dude who lost to two G5s in the last 3 seasons?
Freeman basically took over a playoff contender that faces fairly weak schedules and is 37-12.
BK took over a .500 rebuild in the SEC and is 34-12.
Freeman may be good eventually but he isn't really a clear upgrade from BK IMO

The next game against USC is the only sort of challenge they have and then it's a complete red carpet to the dance.

This
ND plays maybe 3-4 toughish games a year
LSU plays 6-7

Are you referring to be head coach at Port Allen?

I think Freeman's next stop will be the NFL if he continues on his trajectory

Imagine if Kelly had lost to Marshall and Northern Illinois.

Yet they’re doing everything they can this year to lose it

And that terrible Stanford team in 2022 may as well have been a G5.

He has not done a single thing at ND that Kelly didn’t do

BK lost to Tulsa and South Florida, at Home, in his first two seasons at ND - pretty much on par with Marshall and Northern

I feel like this thread is ironic, because replace Freeman with Kelly, and date this post in 2020, and the replies would look almost identical.

To be fair, BK took over a much worse situation.
At the same time, I think both BK and Freeman are good coaches, just don't see Freeman as an upgrade right now.

I guess you dont remember that we tried to get him here as DC. He played us to get more money out of ND and his wife refused to come here.
