Spartacus - The dead and the dying

***Spoilers if you are 10 years behind ****
This is the second to last episode in War of the Damned and the series. I believe this to be one of , if not the best episode in the entire series. It certainly is the most dramatic and emotional.
We are near the end now and romans have been captured including Tiberius. to honor the fallen, Spartacus arranges "games" to spill roman blood in competition just as they did to the Gladiators. In the end, they burned the head of Crixus as he fell to the battle before as well as fallen brothers who were returned in exchange for Tiberius.
The ending of that episode set up the final battle against Rome where the rebels were outnumbered but fought to the end.
I know a lot of people stayed away from this series due to the graphics but if you get that out of your head, it was a incredible series and one with a fantastic ending.

I honestly thought Liam McIntyre did a amazing job taking over for Andy when he passed. It is always hard to do that but he did a great job.
Im not sure if many that have watched know but at the end of the series, they had images from the show up on the screen as the credits rolled through. At the very end, they had Andy standing with arms out yelling, "I am Spartacus"
Was a pretty cool thing for them to do.

This is my 2nd favorite show after The Wire.

New Spartacus was fine in the end. It's tough to replace somebody who owns a role the way Andy Whitfield did.

I appreciate Spartacus continuing after Andy died, but I just couldn't get into it with the new actor. What a shame.

I rewatched season 2 last weekend, will start season 1 again next weekend.
I have Andy's autograph, picked it up not long before he passed away.
It is like I told my sister those long years ago, he was fixing to be a major star.
The cast of the show is top notch, and many went on to do lots of movies and shows.

You should go back and rewatch it. The later seasons were good and they did no dishonor to Andy by continuing.

finished it last night. Great show. Wish we could have got 1 more season but still is was great. I really only had maybe 1 or 2 minor complaints but meh what ever. I'm have no doubt I will rewatch this again.
