Sigourney Weaver reveals she may return in a new Alien movie

quote:
Walter Hill is a very good friend of mine and he wrote 50 pages of where Ripley would be now and they are quite extraordinary,” Weaver said during an Alien reunion panel at New York Comic Con on Friday. “So I don't know if it's going to happen, but I have had a meeting with Fox — Disney, or whoever it is now.”
Except for Neil, I've never felt the need to reprise the role. I was always like, ‘Let her rest! Let her recover!’” Weaver said.
“But what Walter has written is so…first of all, seems so true to me. It’s very much about the society that would incarcerate someone who has tried to help mankind, but she's a problem to them so she's tucked away.”

Come up with an original idea.
Ripley also can’t rest and recover.
She’s dead.

I guess they would continue with the clone Ripley from Alien 4.
She died in 3 but was brought back and it ended with them going to Earth.
I'm more interested in movies like Romulus though. Or maybe make a good AvP.

They’ll have to de-age the bush with CGI

I’d respect some of these washed boomers if they’d just say “Disney drove a truckload of money to my house.”
This garbage about “it felt important to tell this story” or “the guy who wrote Transformers 12 showed me this amazing, really topical script” is played out.

In other news - the great Walter Hill still lives.

Am I the only one who thinks it's kind of cool that Sigourney Weaver went to Comic Con?

I think it’s cool too. She seems like a down to earth person.

They fricked the timeline & retconned the entire franchise.
It’s too late. Her talking about throwing someone in jail who wants to help the world,
I guaranfrickingtee she’s pushing for modern day bullshite. And not the past admin either.

She was paid.
And she’s been to SDCC.

I agree with this on that underlined bit on the proposed plot.
But that tv show is fan fiction so it didn’t ruin the timeline

If only there were more attention to the FAN aspect of the show, which I don't think there was.
