I’ve yet to smell a cigar that doesn’t smell horrible. Has to taste the same way. What does anyone get out of it?

I’ve never understood it either. I’m convinced people who smoke cigars just do it because they think it makes them cool

You don't inhale. There's all the flavor and you need without inhalation. Much stronger than a cigarette, so nicotine can get into your system via just the mouth.

Im sure you do things others don’t get, like being a British cigarette.

Ask your husband to stop smoking them

Typical mature responses. Some of you need to be punched in the face.
Asking a legit question about a foul behavior does not make one gay. Assholes.

It's escaped me as well. My late FiL loved it. Would take a cigarette in exchange. No clue.

Well when you start a stupid thread that asks question that can be answered with something as simple as people have different preferences on things they like and don’t like, of course you’ll get dumb arse answers.

Aren’t you a grown up?

ETA I don’t understand why people like smoking cigarettes but that’s what they like, why should I care if they want to smell like an ashtray.

You’re asking for a definitive answer to someone’s personal preference. It can’t be done.

Every persons tastes are unique. I can’t make you understand how enjoyable a really good cigar is. To me. Likewise, no one can make me understand how good a really good tequila tastes. Cause I don’t like tequila.

I get it. Most women don’t like the smell of cigars. You’re not any different than most women.

It's a bit of an acquired taste but once you get the taste and feel for it, there's nothing better than a good maduro imo. It's more about the flavor of the smoke on the palate rather than the nicotine intake. It does take a bit of adjustment if you're accustomed to inhaling.

Cigars are the one of the few traditional “manly” things that I don’t see the appeal to whatsoever

The three or four hours a week I'm able to set aside & enjoy a nice cigar are easily the most relaxing of my week. If you're able to refine or train your palate there's a lot more enjoyment in trying different blends, vitolas etc. Some of the best conversations I've had in the last 5 or so years since I started smoking cigars have happened in a cigar lounge with total strangers.

Most women don’t. It’s ok. I don’t get the allure of Lifetime movies either. Just how we’re wired I guess.
