Woods, 49, announced Saturday that he recently underwent lumbar disk replacement surgery for a collapsed disc and a compromised spinal canal.
"After experiencing pain and lack of mobility in my back, I consulted with doctors and surgeons to have tests taken. The scans determined that I had a collapsed disc in L4/5, disc fragments and a compromised spinal canal," Woods said in a statement.

Crazy to think that there is an element of “What could have been?” to his career.

I blame his inability to turn down pussy. That’s what created this downward spiral..

You are close to being right. I will always believe that in that first big blow up with the ex she hit him a few good times with a 9i across the back

Had nothing to do with it. He dominated professional golf while juggling women for years. That news came out in late 2009. He was player of the year in 2013. Then his body started breaking down.

Maybe looking for something he wasn’t getting from golf. Like when Jordan went to play baseball.

If I recall correctly.... .I think it had something to do with his dad passing, not 100% sure though

Well his dad was SF in the Army so he was raised in that culture. Tiger was given all access into a world few civilians get to see with a brotherhood that nobody outside the Teams really understands. He wanted into that fraternity. How else do you explain a multi-millionaire golfer running around Orlando with a pack on his back and doing jumps with active duty Team guys? I think once you get to the top of Everest you need a new mountain to conquer.

His pill addiction didn’t help.

that happened after and because of all the multitude of surgeries he's had.

I know. It also caused him to sail off a cliff and wreck his ankle, foot, and leg.

While training with Navy SEALs, Woods and some SEALs went to a diner for lunch. When the check came, Woods did not offer to pay, which baffled the other men who felt he should have, considering he was a celebrity and they were all with him on the training. The story suggests Woods may have wanted to be seen as "one of the guys" rather than a famous athlete, but his actions came across as strange to the SEALs.

Training with them as a LARPer doesn't make you one of them. It's like mini boot camp for actors, they're not really in the military.
