Needs to be at least 4,200,000 before the end of the month. Then re-hire were needed.

If the Fed can cut, the states and cities will follow. Soon, seeing a government employee will be a rare site indeed.

Yeah, those autists are geniuses at meme magic.

I laughed so frigging hard the first time I saw it. Bookmarked it instantly.

I wonder what the average salary is for those jobs. Maybe $75,000?

There’s a wasted $315M we recovered right there.

Way less than that with severance and annual leave payouts etc.

This is like a blip on the radar

Now, start going after DOD really hard...and you might get good savings

Salary of $75,000 is an actual cost of around $100k +/- once you factor in labor burden. (Benefits/payroll taxes.insurances ect).

That’s a very small number in the scheme of things.

I get so sick of hearing this crap. You have to start somewhere.

The panicans on here said the BBB didn't cut anything. It wasn't enough. Well, it was enough to get Democrats to shut the government down and if the past is an indicator, Republicans will cave in the next week or two and we will lose that so any firings between now and the cave-in is great to me because it might be all we get.

There will be no caving by Republicans. Everyone but Rand has voted for their CR. Dems will cave.

Trump should just call in shumsr, broadcast it live and say, "chuck, eventually you are passing this. It's up to you when."

Call it good.

Look that's fine, but its the truth.

All of this stuff is window dressing. If you going to go full tilt grim reaper style, then dont do it this way. Everyone will be better for it
