Ice cream trucks - what the deal with that?

There’s an ice cream truck currently in my neighborhood. First and foremost, it is not ice cream truck season, what is this guy thinking?
But it makes me wonder - what drives someone to operate an ice cream nowadays, especially in a suburban area? Provided the guy is not a pedo, it seems like a really honest cause and I almost have the feeling of guilt when he drives by and never gets business. I almost want to buy out his stock to show appreciation for the gesture.
I guess this could be a front for drug dealing too. I wonder what else he has in stock.

Ours in a Mexican guy so you can get ice cream, elotes and the chips with Valentina in the bag shaken up. Always get the flavored cone (not ice cream) that has the hard arse dry gumball in the bottom.

I can't imagine how fricked up in the head a person must be to see an ice cream truck and automatically jump to the conclusion that its used for drug deals.
