Jalen Hurts and Russell Wilson are both Super Bowl winning QBs who have played at a high level. Wilson had a rapid decline due to loss of mobility and inconsistency.

Now, Hurts is showing some of the same signs. Outside of the tush push, he’s becoming less and less of a threat as a runner. The consistency is another issue; missing a wide open Devonta Smith on third down and then being late and behind on an out route that was picked off. Even the last drive before the half, Hurts mismanaged the situation.

Like I said, it’s an overreaction, but is this the beginning of the end for Hurts?

He's rookie year Bo Nix with a super team around him.

Look I really like Hurts but Wilson post LOB still played at a very high level despite having a league worst OL, no run game (he was the team’s leading rusher one year), and mediocre defense. He basically had to carry those teams and he did for a few years.

Hurts has never had to do something like that because his team’s have always been stacked going back to college even.

I don’t think I have ever seen an offense at any level with that much talent across the board be so basic and allergic to creativity. Their play calling reminds me of a top level SEC team going against a mid level FCS team in week 10/11 - absolutely bland and just trying to get the game over without having to actually put in any real effort. Terrible football. And they are still getting away with clear false starts/lining up offsides on that gay arse orgy pile play.

Is this a not so subtle dig at LSU?

Or, Hurts has never been that great, just an insanely athletic guy who has elite talent around him in the perfect system for him.

Hurts in a slump and his career is now over? Yeah right, guy is good and will remain playing at a high level. You see his super bowl performance last year and just his general playoff performance? Guy is a winner and shows up when needed. He is going to be fine. They are 4-2. Calm down

Thank you. Russ has stunk it up the last few seasons but at their peaks it’s Russ > Hurts.

Russ has 4 seasons where he passed for over 4,000 yards. Hurts has zero

Hurts highest rushing yards in a season is 784. Russ highest is 849.

I can't remember where I saw the comment but someone said he looks like a fullback playing QB and it's all I can see now. Something doesn't look right about him dropping back, going through progressions, and delivering the ball with anticipation. The missed deep ball to D Smith on 3rd down was tough to watch.

I'm not sure if the bland play calling is due to those limitations, or Hurts' limitations are due to the bland play calling, but Eagles' play designs appear elementary relative to their peers.

Hurts has never been as good as Wilson was.

The interception was worse. AJ Brown came WIDE open on the post in the middle of the field. Hurts never looked anywhere but Dotson, and he was still late and threw it to the inside.

It was a truly awful pick a Vet should never throw.

Go look again. He had 131 passing yards the first game. Had 128 yards the 2nd game. Even if you factor in Hurt’s rushing yards (198 total), Barkley had more yards (200+). He did better in the NFC CG and SB but probably no other QB in the league could’ve been a game manager 1-2 playoff games and still made the NFC title because none of them had the stacked roster at every position to carry them there

QBs whose game is built off elite athleticism fall off much quicker than those whose game doesn’t.
Nothing new about that.
I still think hurts has a few more top tier years before a major fall off happens.

Wilson is in his 13th year in the NFL and is 36. Is a decline supposed to be surprising?

Hurts isn't in the same stratosphere are Wilson in his prime
