The reason your team lost

To be fair, obviously in a 9 inning game, four quarters of football and basketball, 3 periods of homey…. It’s not all on 1 person…. Lots happens over the course of a game to make it a team loss.
But what are some all timers that seem to get blamed on a single player?
Watching that poor bastard from Phillies just end their season with an awful decision and play. What else comes to mind?

For years many Cards fans blamed Curt Flood for misjudging a fly ball in Game 7 that led to STL losing to the Tigers in ‘68, but they overlooked Lou Brock not sliding towards home in Game 5. He slides, the Cards win in 5.

Even that play, it wouldn't have mattered if he fielded it because the dumbass pitcher didn't go to cover 1st base. Buckner was playing back at the grass as he should have in that situation and the pitcher hardly even moved. No way Buckner could have gotten to the bag before Mookie.
