There is a misunderstanding when it comes to impeachment of judges. You only need a simple majority in the house to impeach any judge.

Once impeached, it goes to the senate where you need 67 votes to remove them.

In other words, the House can impeach every one of these leftist loons tomorrow of they wanted to.

By doing so, these judges will have to defend their ruling before the senate and the people. Granted most won't be removed, but the process will be its own punishment, and it will stop most of these crazy rulings.

Get these corrupt senators on record.

Something something shine light, scatter roaches.

If our politicians had any backbone they would have done this a while ago.

They have to spend money on legal fees. Democrats love using this technique on their enemies.

Yes, because the politicization of the impeachment process is a good thing!

It was garbage when they did it to Trump. It will be garbage if they do it to judges.

And it had no effect on Trump. He was emboldened and empowered afterward.

And it will have no effect on these judges. If anything it will backfire.

But I guess it will look good on social media.

The senate cannot act on a house impeachment until the GD House votes to impeach these clearly biased, political, and in some cases incompetent judges.

Mike Johnson, WTF are you waiting for?

And oh by the way Michael, how about teeing up legislation to codify Trump’s numerous executive orders? Unless of course you are part of the team and plan to want to see all that Trump is doing to go away like a fart in the wind after Trump is gone.

Waste of time. No judge will be removed and they know it.

While they are testifying in the Senate, they are temporarily out of commission.

Make them squirm and justify their rulings.

It is an interesting question as to whether U.S. District Court and Circuit Court judges are "civil officers" subject to the Constitutional requirements of impeachment.

Historical practice says they are. But impeachment seems logically to be a limitation on Executive Power and maybe the Supreme Court. But district and circuit court judges were created by Congress. Seems plausible that a simple majority would suffice for removal if Congress desired.

Because as soon as the Dems get majority they will do the same. Trump appointees in the long run will out number the Lib judges

Well, none of them would vote to impeach because the Senate doesn't impeach.

This board continues to mix up the two.

Once the House files the impeachment charge, is the Judge removed from thee bench until after the Senate adjudicates?

Here it is. The Senate needs to return to the states.

Its the only way to hold them accountable.

It was designed that way for a reason.

Local people elect state reps and senators. Thus they are more accountable. In turn, the legislative branch appoints the senators to go and represent the state gov at a federal level.

By removing that, we the people were screwed

Why? Because the smaller districts can not over come a large city. But in the legislature the smaller areas have a stronger voice.
