These look great, although I don't believe they've ever worn that logo on their helmets. In 1995, they already had their classic "Griz" script. But the cartoon grizzly works.

I’m a pretty big CFB fan…even for lower levels. I had no idea Montana had different colors just a short time ago (it’s a short time ago to me, I’m old now).

Technically I think their official school colors are gold, silver, and copper (they had historically used both reddish-orange or maroon for copper on uniforms).
Don't know how true this is, but an old boss of mine used to live in Missoula, and she said the school decided to lean to into the maroon and silver because collegiate merchandising was taking off in the 90s, and it contrasted Montana State's colors of navy and gold.
