Anyone have an all in one washer dryer

Would love to save some space in our laundry room. Researched some but its the typical internet where its either the worst or the greatest thing ever so its hard to decide. If you have one can yall gimme the pros and cons? what model is it? thanks

For me, they are just too new to invest in. Maybe after a few years when they become mainstream, but for now, I want good ol' reliable washers and dryers.

I had one in 2008.
I did not like it. Couldn't put a lot of clothes in it at all, and there was always wet lent that would get clogged up that you had to clean or else the machine would start smelling like mildew.

I stayed a few days in an AirBNB on the Washington coast that had one. It took forever to dry a load. I'm talking most of a day. It was better than nothing, but we would do the wash load and leave it drying as we went about our day. It would MAYBE be dry when we got in later that evening. It had no exhaust that I could tell. I am pretty sure it was an LG, as that is what I had at home at the time and the controls were all familiar.
Now, on the flip-side after a different vacation I replaced my front load crap with a stacked washer dryer and built cabinetry in the utility room. That has been a great upgrade to that room freeing up a ton of accessible space. The standard side by side configuration made access above it usless. I ended up with 10x the storage space just by reconfiguring with a stacked system.

They are generally meant only for space saving and not for families since their load capacities aren't that large.
How much room do you have now and what are you trying to save? Stackable units are perfect for space saving if you can fit them in your doorway.

Yep they are meant for space saving like big city Europe type of Apt. Laundry for one or 2 maybe, but for a family never. Its a very slow process

The ones with a compressor are really cool. They are likely going to be expensive to repair as they are part washer part dryer and part fridge. But it's smart to use a compressor to dry clothes it really draws out moisture. I'm not sure if there is a cold exhaust or not I've only seen one.
The ones that have a 120v heating element take 3-4 hours to do a load the ones with a compressor wash and dry in under an hour.
Just at $2500 they are more expensive than a stacked set.

All in ones suck, stackable have much smaller capacities than American women can deal with, and they're all front loaders you essentially can't dry out unless you leave it open. OP will pay for this in ways he doesn't imagine.

I’ve got one it saves space and works fine for small loads, but drying takes much longer than a regular dryer. Great for convenience, not ideal for big families.

Ive got the GE one in the video above and we love it. Coming up on almost a year now and no issues.
There is no exhaust vent, it dries by a heat pump. It takes some getting use to because the clothes are not hot coming out like your standard dryer. They are not damp or wet though.

I'd bet they are the future. The technology is there and getting better. Problem for me is the low quality manufacturing standards of late makes machines with more sensors and parts even more expensive to fix and prone to breakdown. Will be a pass for me for a good while.
Would be cool if they could've perfected the tech when they made quality like in the late 90's-early 00's.

What i don't get is Japan has the best washers and fridges and we get no Japenese brands here. It's crazy.

I wound up with the GE combo. I did the lint trap mod and first load was great. No lint byoass and towels down in about 3 hours. Fingers crossed

Only place I've used one is in Paris. It didn't work well IMO and either left load still damp or got so hot it shrunk a pair of jeans. There was no in between.
