Where do you buy your kids camo/boots?

I hate spending a lot of money on this since they’ll be grown out of it by the end of the season. Especially boots.

Academy. Anything more expensive is a waste

There really is a big gap in kids camo options especially for cold weather gear.
I struggled with that from when my son was 6 till about 12 years or so.
Till he could get better options.

Cabelas Berber fleece worked well for cold weather a few years ago.
Also good to pass clothing down among friends. Boots aren’t bad when they’re kid size, but cost jump when they move to adult size and need a new pair every year.

You really need to ask for advise on where you buy kids apparel?

We buy ours at a local Carehelp.
They save it up all year and then post on FB when they are putting it out.
I've outfitted my kids there for years.
I donate it back in when they outgrow it and repeat.
Were talking like 5$ camo shirts.l and pants. Some never worn.

eBay, secondhand stores, FB marketplace.

I just went to Academy for my 13 year old. Got everything needed. Boots, pants, a couple of tops.

Bass Pro will usually put their redhead boots on sale for about $30 around black friday.

Yeah, I’ll grab a couple other brands from Simmons when I’m up at the camp and it’s on sale but generally I get it from academy at the end of the year bc I’m replacing it every 2-3 years due to growth spurts.

By the time my youngest child was hunting w/ me I'd quit buying "hunting boots" and instead started using "over the boot insulators.". As already pointed out, not only do kids frequently outgrow a pair of boots during the season, they're also expensive and poorly insulated. Just let them wear their regular, non-hunting boots w/ wool socks when walking to the stand. Once you get to the stand, put on the over the boot insulators.
