It was even better when the lighting would hit Holtz at the right angle and you'd see every spit droplet flying out of his mouth.

It was always entertaining to watch May and Holtz argue

The courtroom with Reece Davis as the judge was always entertaining.
Lou would spit a bucket full just saying "Your Honor!"

Takes me back to an entirely different era, as I am sure it does for all of us.
I still cheer for the tigers, but like most my interest has waned too. Probably made every major home and road game for 15 years and felt like I had seen it all.

Same, it was the best.

It was much better before Holtz

You never know your living in the good ol days until you leave them and view them from the future.

It's pretty funny watching this happen in real time. People here hated that shite. They didn't like Mark May and Lou Holtz was deteriorating

What about when it was Mark May and Trev Alberts. Holtz replaced Alberts and it’s difficult for me to think of someone in sports media I hated more than Trev Alberts.
He absolutely hated LSU during our ‘03 season.

What was the deal with him and LSU? Every week he would call us overrated, or undeserving.

In the same boat at the age of 55. Made every major home game and many away games, multiple NC games(‘07, ‘11 & ‘19) from ‘97 til ‘19. Between Covid, BLM bullchit, NIL, transfer portal, etc), my GAF meter just isn’t there.
Born and raised in BR, but have been in north Louisiana since ‘89. Coming home for games was always just a way for me to visit friends and family. Priorities change and at some point you realize it’s just a game and not life and death.
I still watch intently on game days, but once the clock hits 0:00, I’m over it. I’ve been to 4 games since the championship game against Clemson. Arkansas and @Missouri in ‘23 and Ole Miss and @Arkansas in ‘24.
Had tickets to the A&M game this year and decided to pass. If I never attend another game in TS, I gave it a good run. I hope the younger crowd has the passion I once had living and dying with every snap and feeling like I made a difference cheering our Tigers onto victory in the stadium.
