BK, change play callers while you still can or bring someone on in the outside. Inject a spark in this team or we’re going 8&4.

Well they fired their coach and got better. Don't see that happening in Baton Rouge.

Changing play callers won’t fix the O line

It'll take more than changing play callers, the whole O is poorly designed and called. The OL is always confused because the coaches cannot relay their assignments properly all week. BK better fix it, and fast.

But how can he fix it this far into the season.

If you change the entire structure and blocking scheme of the o line it will still take a few weeks for them to figure things out.

The o line is just completely lost. And it’s inexcusable

no, it's just Penn State coming off a very emotional game and then travelling cross country to play a terrible team.

Penn State was sleepwalking and didn't flip the switch in time.

That's it.

UCLA is still awful.

The ucla offense still did well even when penn state woke up. This is a true example of what we could do with better playcalling. We need to dump Sloan and Davis ASAP

BK has no motivation to fix it.

Exactly. When you can't block a three man front all game long, you know the o-line sucks. This will be a problem for the rest of the season. If the o-line improves, it will only be marginally better.

They have been playing the scenes. Getting the ball out early b/c they can’t block.

They also can’t run block. You can’t scheme around that.

I won't argue with this. BK doesn't care, he started with House and now Sloan. Dude can't hire for shite.

UCLA's rush offense is 105, LSU's is 121. Literally the ONLY difference is Nico is a dual threat. They won because he ran for over 120 yards and 3 TDs today.

Can we stop with the OL crap? There are workarounds for a bad OL. One thing is to implement more variety in the run game. Get your OL moving if they can't win straight up. Get some pulling guards in there. Run some toss plays.

Also proof that having UCLA and Penn State in the same league is beyond stupid.

Help me understand something. Was Sloan retained because LSU was getting Underwood? Since that was a bust why is Sloan still here?

Knowing UCLA well, it’s was a desperate situation. First the D was fat and out of shape. The interim coach got them doing wind sprints like in camp.
The offense was fine but our offensive coordinator was incompetent and they fired him after Northwestern.
It’s a 180 turnaround . That week off before the northwestern game gave us the time to get the D in shape and decide of the direction of the offense .

If the O-Lina can GEL moving forward and find their way for this next portion of the season, I think we have the talent there and can be serviceable enough to make a run.

We do need more deep ball “3-flies in” or duck and run for the first down, not that hard.

But I do think going for big plays with check downs to the more explosobe guys is the ticket. And establish that, then can and a good backfield draw game to incorporate the backs and some
Swing passes & screens.

This offenses can come together enough for the Defense to have some confidence, and this team can win it all

It was a historic upset victory in front of 10's of fans at the RB. I can't really give you props as an SC fan, but if I could give anyone credit for that I would say Skippy Jr. (Jerry Neuheisel for those of y'all that don't know) did a great job in creating and executing a game plan to beat PSU. It was good for college football IMHO.
