Understood it closed and ten re-opened at a new location pretty near the old one. I remember going there to watch the Cubs years ago, is it still a Cubs bar?

I know some cities have NFL and college football bars for watch parties but MLB in a small market town like New Orleans? Seems like the Astros or Braves would maybe have a bar to watch games. Not sure the Cubs would.

Actually the Cubs have a pretty good following in South Louisiana. I have 3 folks within 2 blocks of my house who fly Cubs flags, have Cub license plates, etc.

In fact I would say the Cubs have more fans around here than the Braves.

And Milan absolutely advertised themselves as a Cub bar and had had game watch parties and always had Cub memorabilia throughout. I just knew they had closed and it's been a while so did not know if they still were.

Cubs and Braves games were televised every day in the New Orleans area for a number of years, thus they have a decent following here

Back in the 80s and early 90s the cubs were on TV every day in Nola on WGN. So people grew up watching them. The Braves too, but the cubs had Harry Caray so more entertaining.

They were everyone's favorite day game team. If you skipped school or ditched work, you could watch Cubs games all summer long during the day. They didn't get lights until 1988.
