Thinking outside the box: Popingo’s gas station in Pville if you’re on that side of town… on the level of a Popeyes, not a restaurant.

Agree with this.

I like Blue Store, but isn't it just wings? If family is expecting traditional fried chicken and it includes older folks, they may not be thrilled with wings only.

Plus, Chicken Shack's wet batter makes for the crispiest, thickest crust.

They do all the traditional parts of a chicken fried also. Just well known for the chicken wings.

Blue Store is tasty, but it destroys my innards.

My vote is Delpit's Chicken Shack

You can't be serious? Flavorless crap. Even worse the next day.

You eat leftover gas station fried chicken and you’re criticizing my food choices?

I am not a fatty so I do gulp down 8 pieces of chicken in one sitting.

Genuinely happy to hear it. And if you ever need a chicken combo breaker, they have a very solid fried pork chop as well.

Headed there right now. Was thinking of getting red bird in Denham springs or Southern classic but this thread convinced me to go to the shack.

Neither do I. That’s why I don’t buy 8 pieces of chicken.
