For those that aren't aware, the fbi "hate group" list that included patriotic and right wing ideology stuff (like the Betsy Ross flag) were generated by the SPLC. This "law group" also furnished biden with hundreds of names to appoint as judges.

Pardon my ignorance, but what was the extent of collaboration and work between the FBI and this org as well as the ADL?
What work was being done together, what does cutting ties mean, what is lost, why does this matter, etc.?

It’s just a token action at this point.
