Lab puppies ? Where to find ?

Time has come … I (and family) are ready for new dog. Chocolate lab boy.
I have no problem adopting shelter dogs and we’ve had great success with our previous lab-Doberman girl (RIP)
But I want to raise another lab from puppy first. Does anyone know where to look? Any contacts? I really want another chocolate lab puppy. Me and my kids miss our old buddy. 11 years old , best dog ever, chocolate lab. Thanks

We have had great success with Huntfield kennels in Union Church MS, looks like they will have some chocolates hitting the ground about new years

Highly recommend Huntfield Kennels as was stated above. I got a puppy from them early this year and this is the best dog I've ever had so far.

What’s their weight roughly? They look stout in pics.

Males are around 60-65lbs, females 50-55lbs...Very athletic build from my experience. My male is 10 months and just over 60lbs.

Y-Farms in Zachary, not sure if they have any litters on the way

Please consider a pitbull-mix from your local animal shelter. Our shelters are overflowing with beautiful dogs that most likely probably won't rip your kids face off hopefully.

Shoot you could peruse the Louisiana pet pages for labs. Also, Save A Lab Rescue on east coast saves a lot of labs in Louisiana and has fosters here. You could find them on FB and inquire. They get puppies, too. You can also search petfinder and adopt a pet to see what’s out there. If you want to adopt/rescue and can narrow by area. A lot of shelters also post their animals on those sites.

We’re absolutely going to adopt a shelter dog or two again
But I want to get a new lab puppy in place first that I can raise and train myself, and then he can help train and keep future dogs in line with me.

family/ hunting dog
Ebonstar Lean Mac was my lab’s grand sire. He never quite lived up to that, but he was perfect dog and best friend I ever had

I reached out to Huntfield Kennels. Hopefully I’ll have luck with their new set of red labs expected this month.
I always wanted a red lab, and the kids are excited at the idea.
We can always get a chocolate later down the line sometime.

I have 2 fox red British labs from Huntfield sitting on the floor next to me right now , they have both been wonderful healthy friendly dogs, can not recommend Huntfield high enough , Mark is incredibly knowledgeable about British Labs and dogs in general, has helped me with our other dog (an Anatolian Shepherd) that was purchased elsewhere , you will not be disappointed

Who are the parents? Boone and Shannon are the parents of new litter this month

I would have to go back and look, but my dogs are 5 and 7 years old, so I assume thier parents have been retired

Based on all the recommendations here and two acquaintances, we claimed Fox Red lab from Huntfeld and just drove to pick her up this morning. Very pleased with the process.
Other two sisters got claimed from people who drove in today from Michigan and Arkansas.
Thanks everyone.

He was great. He was waiting out back for us when we arrived 20 mins early. Showed the kids bunch of chicks that hatched last night. Some walking around incubator, some still hadn’t left the shell. And others were just starting to peck through the shell.
