Did you ever really get into it as a series watch? It goes back and forth so much between "life is fricked up" semi-drama and surrealistic comedy that I never got too interested in watching the whole thing. But it has some great absurdist moments.

One of the best comedies ever, keep watching. Kenny is a POS, that's just who he is. You have to accept that I'm on season four of my 3rd watch. Stevie is on a freaking roll right now.

I love the first two you mentioned. Both are favorites of mine.
I personally was not a big fan of The Righteous Gemstones. I couldn't even finish the series. By far McBride's worst HBo comedy for me. There were a few really reaaly funny characters, but unlike his other comedies, there were numerous main characters that just weren't funny at all. Hell even McBride's character wasn't that funny.
I don't know if you've seen it but Vice Principles is awesome too. I go back and forth of whether I like it or EB&D more. I've watched it 3-4 times. McBride and Goggins feeding off one another is just crazy good comedy.

I quit watching but the first few seasons were hilarious. His girlfriend was a smokeshow. I know they used stunt tits, but her topless scene was a highpoint:

All of McBride's shows are exactly the same except he just plays himself as different characters in different themes. But what he's best at is allowing supporting characters to thrive. Stevie in EB&D. Walton Goggins in Vice Principles and Gemstones

The first 2 seasons are great.
After that. I lost the attention span to watch it.
Also, Rachel was hot. After the show she blew up had to have gained 100 pounds.
Also she used a stunt double to show her tits at the end of season 1.
