Cashless Transactions Are Convenient

Can we just all admit it? Lots of old people bitching at first but I rarely fumble through my wallet these days and mostly use Apple Pay on my phone.
Yea yea I carry cash for things like restaurant valet tipping and keep a few hundred in my sock drawer in case of a hurricane but it’s pretty convenient overall.
I was reminded of this as I look at my Kentwood water jug filled with hundreds of coins that I haven’t added to in a number years now.

They are convenient but not without a cost. Everything you do electronically is data mined and used by others to profit.
We were in Canada last weekend and it took out the need to get bent over by the airport currency exchange. There was only one place that didn't take card but the ATM debit for $60 of Canadian was $51 USD. I'm sure we're now going to receive a bunch of Canada tourism crap in the next year...
