We seen what the backup for Ole Miss can do.
All the backup has to do is do his job and bridge the gap until Nuss is healthy.

Les Miles 2.0 would not play him if a genie popped out the bottle and told BK the team would win the NC only if he sat Nuss

I'm not even clamoring for a QB controversy but if Nuss is injured then put the backup in
You are only hurting the team but not at least trying it.

When Nuss is healthy he is clearly a dynamic passer but something is wrong with him clearly. So why hurt the team?

I have to imagine there was some known injury heading into the season, with the thought that Nuss could gut it out until the bye week, then get 2 weeks of rest to heal, and be ready to go for 2nd half of season.

Maybe he's distracted. Newly engaged, agents pumping him about his pro contract. Either way, he's a liability to this team.

If Nuss is injured and Kelly is insisting on continuing to make him play, perhaps that's grounds for termination with cause? I'm mentally retarded so I could be wrong.

It doesn't make sense.

And for the record, I am never one of those 2nd string quarterback is always better people, but if he is legitimately hurt and not just regressing, then he needs to rest and get healthy.

You are only hurting the rest of the team by continuing to play him.

I don’t care if Nuss is injured or not at this point. He’s had 1 solid game, 2 bad games and 1 absolutely awful game (I’m not including anything from an FCS opponent).

If Kelly and the staff are serious about a run this season he needs to see the bench.

ETA: I do believe he’s injured, but I don’t really care at this point.

The way he's currently playing is also a liability to his draft status.

Just imagine the team seeing MVB in practice AND probably knowing the true extent of Nuss injury. I would bet there's some pretty salty teammates in that locker room. A lot of players all came here for a title run and I'm sure they also want to get drafted. The TEAM is suffering because BK has some undying loyalty to continue to play a visibly injured Nuss.

I’m starting to think Nuss is not hurt, and they are just saying he is to keep his draft stock from tanking

Why does he play against Southeastern if he’s actually hurt and needs rest?

I think the switch to MVB could potentially have the Tex AM switch from Weighman to Reed. MVBs skillset can mask some of these OL problems, specifically his mobility.

I still think we have a championship level defense, we just need an okay offense. I think MVB can deliver that, even w Sloan calling plays.

It definitely wouldn't hurt. Nuss is a great QB, but something is definitely off. MVB is a QB that can move and throw on the run. With this offensive line, I'm not so sure that isn't our best option at this point.

Yep it doesn’t matter whether he is hurt or not (I think he is). BK should give VB these next two weeks with the 1’s in practice and start him vs SC. Nuss isn’t going to win you anything at this point and I have defended Nuss up to now. BK has too much riding on this season not to put VB in.

I’d also go ahead and take the play sheet away from Sloan and fire Brad Davis arse. You have two weeks to get someone ready to call plays and put a boot up that OL’s arse.

Nuss is not the problem. We can’t run either. The o-line is the worst I’ve ever seen. Ole Miss rushing just 3 most of the game and they were still getting thru in no time. They were not blitzing anyone and Nuss still had no time

Van Buren must be bad in practice. Like, forgets what color jersey we're wearing level bad.
