I’ve seen this reasoning in several posts as we all search out answers for why BK won’t give MVB a shot. Nuss is injured, physically or mentally, or both, instead of seeing if the backup can provide a spark, we are practicing the definition of insanity.

So. Dumb down the playbook. Less than half the plays work anyway, and maybe running 40% of the plays and executing better, and actually running RPO where R is a possibility, will make the offense better.

We aren’t talking about Colin Hurley that’s never played in an SEC game, we are talking about a guy that has played against UGA and UT. Why not give him a shot? The offense couldn’t be much worse.

Oh, and fire Brad Davis and your entire S&C staff.

MVB could run a chopped down offense and get us wins with this defense, but that's too much to ask of BK and Sloan

With this defense and those WRs, a QB that can run and can complete 60% of their passes within 20 yards is an upgrade over what we have now.

I don’t buy that he doesn’t know the playbook.

Not at all

Barring a real injury, BK is going to ride or die with Nuss.

Not much point in even discussing it.

If he wasn’t willing to give MVB a series or 2 vs Ole Miss he never will

Dumb down the playbook? That would be saying we go from 4 plays to 2.

can he run the read option and be an actual threat to pull it and get yards? Would that not help our Offense who is struggling to run the ball at all? It would.

….and judging by the highlights against UT and Georgia he can. So I don’t see how it could hurt when Nuss can’t, nor can he throw the deep ball right now.

Who said he doesn't know the playbook? While we worried about what ill informed fans think?

There is no reason MVB should not be given a couple of series in any game as far as I'm concerned. I understand BK not wanting a QB controversy but unfortunately he already has one. Whatever the reason Nuss is not playing up to par for a 5th year senior,Even with the running issues we should be able to pass. With this defense all you really need is a game manager. Matt Mauk and Matt Flynn could win a natty with this defense. I would hope they give him some reps with the ones this week, Thay have 2 weeks to figure this out but they cannot continue with the status quo.

The playbook is already "dumb downed" enough.

I’ve come to learn that coaches know their QBs capabilities better than fans.

I mean, do y’all think BK would willfully lose just to avoid letting the backup win a game
