I can tell you with 100% certainty, those young men would be full of fire.

The high pad levels, the lack of explosion, clueless to twists/stunts…..nope. Wouldn’t happen.

There. I said it. Again, so shoot me.

I'll take anyone but Brad at this point. 5 years of dismal OL play.

We could hire him or Pittman right now. They just can’t recruit. Unlimited number of coaches for practice/game planning etc. only recruiting is limited.

Bring back the FB. Bring the QB back under center. Having a decent FB could solve some of these run game problems

Because he couldn’t hack at it any other coaching job and he has no experience as an actual offensive line coach. Cool he’s a great former player, but that doesn’t mean shite. Bring in the best available.

And I’ll say again, if we’re going the hypothetical former player route, why not Ben Wilkerson? He’s only been coaching NFL OL for like 10 straight years.

That said, let’s go get an actual proven good-great OL coach. Regardless of where he went to school.

Or hire Cole Cubelic.

Where is he currently coaching? Provide the great experience he has that qualifies him as the offensive line coach of an SEC team. Had he not played at LSU, you wouldn’t have him in your top 1000 of candidates.

I just never understood this “can’t recruit” narrative.

“Hey kid I’m literally in the NFL Hall of Fame playing your position my whole career. You want to know the path to get there? I’m your guy. LSU is your home”

Great pitch, except he’s coached exactly 0 NFL offensive linemen.

Isn’t this similar to what some were saying about Kyle Williams?

I, personally, would prefer Ben Wilkerson if we could pull him from the NFL

Not enough O Line coaching experience.

He’s a NFL HOF’er, I’ll trust he knows how to block and to teach it with his words.

The Oline couldn’t be any worse over the last 5 years if you stuck a random ranter on the staff.
